The Statement M1 is a state-of-the-art monaural amplifier delivering 1,000 watts into 8 ohms and 2,000 watts into 4 ohms or less with THD remaining under 0.1% from 20 Hz to 20 kHz. Opera Centralle uses the same components as the Mezza. They have a very smooth frequency response, high sensitivity, excellent vocal reproduction, and are ideal for use in combination with all  Opera speakers. The cabinet is made from shaped MDF with rounded corners, lined with leather. The cross-over of the Centralle uses a classical topology with slopes of 12 dB per octave. The transition frequency is fixed at about 2300 Hz and the sensitivity is about 90 dB (2.83 volts at 1 meter). Opera Centralle has been designed to be placed on a shelf or on a stand (available on request) and it can be positioned above or below the screen.

Why grey screens ?

The concept of the grey screen was first introduced by Stewart Filmscreen with their Grayhawk product in 2001, and grey screens have become immensely popular ever since.

Grey screens are often called high contrast screens because their purpose is to boost contrast on digital projectors in viewing rooms that are not entirely dark. The grey screen absorbs ambient light that strikes it better than a white screen does. In so doing the black level on the screen is maintained. This works because, assuming the projector has ample lumen output as most digital projectors do, whites remain satisfyingly white while blacks are maintained at a deeper black. The net effect is to increase the contrast range of the image on the screen.
