The legendary 777 Preamplifier, invented and built by Burmester in 1977, is regarded as the foundation of success for Burmester Audiosysteme. On the occasion of the company’s 30th anniversary in 2007, Burmester once again introduced an exceptional pre amp. At present, the 077 is the most versatile pre amp in their lineup and joins smoothly into the league of the internationally awarded Burmester pre amps.

The flagship among the Burmester preamplifiers, which has been produced in various versions since 1980, has undergone new and extensive modifications and now carries the name 808 MK 5. Well-tried characteristics remain the same, but many things were fundamentally adapted, as if leaping a fifth, in order to prepare for the next millennium. (Due to this leap of a fifth, there is no MK 4 version. 4 is also an unlucky number in Asia, and with respect to this important market we will no longer have a 4 in our newer model names.)

The 088 preamplifier perfectly melds high-quality sound with attractive visual appearance. Its operation is simple and intuitive and guarantees a relaxed listening experience. As a member of the Burmester preamplifier family it profits greatly from technological and engineering advances that mark, for example, the performance of the Reference Line preamp 077.

The 035 preamplifier combines warm and natural sound with simple and user-friendly operation. Referencing its great predecessors in Burmester’s collection, the 035 has an excellent sonic signature with great attention to musical detail.

The N-05XD is an evolution of their N-05 network player, but improves on this not only in streaming performance, but adds an analogue input, preamplifier section, headphone amplifier and even offers bluetooth integration for the first time from Esoteric. A truly all-in-one device that can be a single-box solution for a headphone setup or active speakers, or pair with a power amplifier for a simple yet masterful two-box hifi setup.
