The new design uses double shielded low noise toroidal transformers in external supply connected via aviation grade circular connectors using silver over oxygen free copper. The power supply is dual mono with two transformers with lower radiated and mechanical noise. Noise is the most prominent part of THD+N at low levels, so by lowering noise we get better resolution and dynamics.

The gain circuitry continues to use our favorite transistors from Toshiba but has a larger, higher biased, output stage like the Xs Preamp, and includes auto bias.

The Caprice is constructed using multiple Polyethylene tubes that are grouped together with the positive and negative conductors helixed around the center tube.  The Caprice (at 14 pF per foot) is revealing enough to have excellent resolution of fine detail, as well as high frequency extension with rich mid-range. The cable design and geometry of the tubes creates an interconnect cable that has excellent musicality in the extreme high-frequencies.

The Caprice II Bi-Wire cable requires 2 runs of TARA Labs Gen2 conductor cables. One run dedicated for the High-Frequencies, and a separate run for the Low-Frequencies.  The geometry and construction of this unique cable enables this design to have most of the sonic benefits of 2 discrete runs of cable, but in one cable run. Caprice II Bi-Wire speaker cable is a single-run internal Bi-Wire cable with one outer jacket.
